Blind Timing

How to play

  1. You get a target time between 2 and 15 seconds, for example 7.43 s.

  2. Press “Start” – from now on the time runs invisibly.

  3. Press “Stop” when you think exactly the target time has passed.

  4. You see your stopped time, the deviation down to a hundredth of a second and your points. After three times you get your summary.

Test your sense of time

Blind Timing is a time perception test where you can't see the stopwatch. You have to count the seconds in your head or trust your gut – and that is surprisingly hard. Under pressure, most people count too fast and stop too early.

Points depend on the relative deviation: half a second off weighs more at 3 seconds than at 14 seconds. Stop within 3 % and you score over 90 points. Regular practice sharpens your inner timing – helpful for music, sports or giving presentations.
